Pony Club Learning Day

On June 27th the Endless Mountains Pony Club held a learning day for young equestrians at Meadowbrook Stables in South Canaan, PA.  Local professionals donated their time and expertise to teach about areas of horse care and managements.  Beth Berwanger,BS owner of Natural Balance Hoof Trimming and Equine Dentistry taught about hoof anatomy, practical care and disease warning signs.  Kimberly Konopka BS, AS, CVT, ESMT and owner of Equine Therapeutic Solutions, LLC taught members about the importance of horse health including how to take and monitor equine temperature, pulse and respiration.    Linda Baldwin, MS, CVT and owner of Meadowbrook Stables LLC taught members the importance of equine nutrition and parasitology.  Patricia Brosious USDF ‘L’ Program Graduate and owner of Foundations Dressage Center taught members about how balance and stability create independence in the saddle.  The learning that took place was in alignment with the United States Pony Club standards of proficiency for young horseman.
